Over twenty-five years ago, as a young couple living in Atlanta we began baking desserts in our home kitchen and trying them out on friends and neighbors… Cream Cheese Brownies, Macadamia Carrot Cake and Italian Cream Cake among others. One year later with recipes in hand, we loaded up the two babies, packed the U-Haul and moved to Winston-Salem to start The Dessertery, a novel concept of fresh baked desserts sold by the slice served with coffee and coffee specialty drinks. In fact The Dessertery had the first cappuccino machine in the city!
